About our Rabbits

Our rabbits are all spoiled family pets first and foremost. Our rabbits are handled daily from newborn on. Cages are cleaned every single day. A combination of Timothy Hay and Orchard Grass is available to the rabbits 24/7. Each of our rabbits has toys in their cages, jingle balls and little dumb bells on the cage floor and colorful fruit flavored wooden chew toys with bells hang from each cage top. Our rabbits delight in throwing their jingle balls and dumb bells around the cage and gnawing at their wooden chew toys. Our oldest buck Cocoa Willie is known as our little bell ringer, as every morning at about 7 AM he is out in his cage ringing the bell continuously for about 15 minutes. This is an every morning event and one I look forward to and know I will surely miss someday.

Sadly our little bell ringers bell will forever remain silent from this day forward. Willie passed away peacefully Dec 8, 2007. We will miss you Sweet Wills.

Our rabbits each have a resting board in their cage to give them a place off the wire to rest comfortably. Each rabbit is supplied with their own large water bottle that is filled twice a day with fresh water. One small snack is offered daily. Sometimes a fruit, sometimes a veggie or a bite of a horse treat. Our bunnies are started off on a combination of rolled oats and pellets. Each rabbit is fed the properly measured amount of food for their weight to keep them in optimal condition. Toenails are checked regularly and clipped no less then once monthly, more so if the particular rabbit has fast growing nails.

When our bunnies start nibbling on the pelleted food, usually at about 3 weeks of age we add rolled oats 1/2 and 1/2 to the pellets as this is very gentle on their sensitive tummies. At 6 weeks we cut back on the oats and then finally at 8 weeks they are fed pellets exclusively. In addition bunnies are fed an Alfalfa/Orchard Grass hay blend. We do not sell our bunnies until they are 8 weeks old.

If you have any questions about any of our rabbits, please don't hesitate to e-mail and ask.
